I grew up bilingual, with German and Spanish being my mother tongues (to be more precise, it’s my mother’s tongue), so my passion for languages “wurde mir in die Wiege gelegt”, as we like to say in German (I was born into the trade). I started my bachelor’s degree at Brandenburg University of Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg (Germany) in Environmental Management, fully in English. To be accepted, I passed my TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) with 98 points. My master’s degree at the University of Giessen followed, gaining extensive knowledge in the life sciences (bioinformatics, chemistry, biomaterials, and biotechnology). After 14 years of translation experience, I can proudly say that I have translated for some of the biggest companies, spanning from tech companies like Huawei and AMD to financial companies like Deutsche Bank and the health sector like Pfizer. I specialize in patent translations and have so far translated over 500 patents. Furthermore, I have worked with many translation agencies, helping them acquire big projects and supervising the quality of the translations. It would be my pleasure to share my knowledge with you.
